I basically took a 1 inch thick plank about 6 inches by 6 inches. I drilled it out for Slimline and glued some tube in place. Shaved it off flat, and it's ready to go. The point is to keep the pen mill more true because it does wobble and make bad fit for the centerbands if left to its own devices. So far, it's gone 2 for 2. I'm happy with it. The blank is, again, from the big box of Brooks803's cutoffs and "oopses". The corian for the centerband is courtesy of Reddwil.

Looking good! I'm getting prepared to do my first castings. Shouldn't be long before I have an "Ooooops!" box of my own to bring to a meeting.

Allan, That pen looks really good and centerband looks perfectly symmetrical and square to the length of the pen. Great job! Doc
