A Mesa Pen trying to display one of Ken Brown's Paua Shell blanks. I just had to show one of the shell blanks I got from Ken even though my picture does not do justice to his work. As I understand it this one was cast in Amalite. I found it easy to work with. I used a carbide insert tool (R4) that I made using 1/2"x1/2"x6" steel and it work great. I have had surgery on my right hand so had to wait 'til the stitches were out before I finish the project.

Yes it does!!!! I just wish I could get a picture to show how it REALLY looks.
