I turned this bad boy last night, garage temp around 94 degrees.
The Kit is the Gran Torino from www.arizonasilhouette.com and Amboyna Burl 50/50.

The finish is CA (approx. 8 coats) MM to 12000 and Hut plastic polish.
The plating is Rhodium. All comments welcome!

Love the pen Love the wood love the sheen and wish I could get that but i don`t have the patients or technique for CA finish.

If it makes you feel any better, when I first starting making pens, Don Ward gave me a crash course on CA finishes. I went home, knocked out about 5 good pens and then everything after that went to crap. So much so that I almost threw in the towel on the CA. But I was determined to find out the method that worked best for me, so I kept going. About 3 months later I had it down, and within about 6 pretty well mastered! So the moral of the story is: Never give up! We may not always succeed the first go around, but hard work and dedication will result in success. Write down everything, that way you dont do it twice.

Stunning...absolutely stunning!

The kit looks like the Zen kit from Craft Supplies but with a twist top instead of magnetic.

It is very similar, the exception: screw cap .

Thanks for everyone's comments!!
