This is the result of PR casting in an ice cube mold. The tubes were included in the casting. I was amazed at how tight the casting adhered to the tubes. This was made with blue liquid dye and yellow pearl powder. Picture didn't capture the depth and sparkle of the pearl powder. The ends and centerband are pickguard.

John, the mixed-medium idea is really interesting; hadn't thought about combining colored powder and liquid colors. Great job, both on the casting and the pen!

Very nice pen! Hey where do guys buy pick guard from? I looked at a few guitar shops on line but you have to buy it pre-cut, can you buy it blanks? Thanks!

Thanks for all the nice comments....

Shane...The pick guard was added after the casting. I had to part off to add it.

R.T....I buy my pick guard in sheets from Grizzly. Try this link.http://tinyurl.com/ahyrd

Great casting and pen! I love Green! As far as the sticking try veg. spray or vaseline. I use a small paint brush to put the vaseline in the molds.
