When in Greece, do as the Greeks :)
I took a page from Mik, here is a Greek Olive Wood Statesmen,
Unfortuneately, Ol Mik, has more GOW then me, so my Statesmen
looks like a sumo wrestler sleeping on a twin bed :D
But you get the picture [)] Finish on pen & bed is
several coats of Waterlox, buffed.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks RT, my son bought a new Canon G6, so I snuck it out of the house tonight and took it for a spin. Not bad for not knowing how to work it!

Anthony,

Thats a nice looking pen. GOW is as fun to turn a the BOW, I did one and have a few to go. It does have some differences but I found that they were mostly in the apperence. GOW, at least the blanks that I bought from Mike is darker than BOW and the figure is different. But both are beautiful woods to work with.

That's one beautiful pen, Anthony! It just doesn't get any better than that for me; highly figured wood and the best looking pen kit on the market. Simply perfect!

Very nice pen, Anthony. GOW, BOW, JOW, ... What's next MEOW? (That would be Middle Eastern Olive Wood if you're acronymically challenged this morning!) [:D][}:)][xx(]

Which lighting is the closest to the visual appearance of the pen?

Thanks for the comments, this is really some nice wood and a touch darker than BOW.
I did this on a cross cut. I was able to get 4 blanks and two beds out of that one
block I got from MIK. I am going to assemble the other tonight.

Bill I got some WOW, wild olive wood from Leetree, don't know where it is from.
The secound photo is with a flash and best resembles the pen color.
