Out of Lau Lau's kits from Hawaii. They are a pretty hefty kit, and the pen has a good weight to it.

I appreciate the kind words. Amboyna always gets some oohhs and aws in the collection.

This particular kit I find difficult to get any curve into the wood as the pen kit is the same size on both ends. If you go to much in the middle it's out of balance and unwieldy looking.

Good job. I'm a big fan of amboyna. I think that few woods produce such an amount of grain in such a small area. I usually tend to shy away from the gold kits but it looks pretty good with the amboyna.

I'm with you, I shy away from gold except on yellow woods, but it does look pretty decent with the Amboyna. The client wanted gold, so a gold/ti it was!
