I finally got a chance to spend some time on the lathe this evening and turned a polaris with one of Duroc's metal flake blanks.
The effect on a pen with more meat is significantly more impressive (IMO). I had made a couple of sierras before, but I am a lot happier with this one. I plan on sending it to my mom for her birthday.
