...at least, ithink it's acrylic. It smells different to polyester. I've seen folk use "PR" and "acrylic" interchangably, but I think they're chemically different. Can anyone clarify?

Acrylic, Polyresin (PR) and Alumilite are all different from each other.

PR and Alumilite can be made in your kitchen.

Acrylic requires pressure that is not possible at home. This is a commercial product.


BTW, they each have their own turning characteristics, as well.
