Default Going away gift for the commander

Well it is definately PCS season over here in Korea. Seems like we are having a going away dinner every week. This time I say goodbye to my squadron commander. He is already a pen guy and has some very nice commercial offerings. I wanted to make him something simple that was obviously hand crafted and wood. I did some wavy segmenting of walnut and maple and put them on a simple rollerball. This was my first time segmenting this way. I realize that I need to be a little smoother going through the bandsaw.

Great Segmented Pen David.
Beautiful Walnut and Maple Blank,
Superbly Turned, Fitted and Finished.
A Perfect Gift for a Pen Guy.
Turn that special piece of Timber you have been keeping.
Enjoy it for its true beauty.
Why leave it for others to enjoy without you?
