Six castings this weekend, six pens out of them.
Takes a little of the disappointment away from missing the MAPG.
All are Aero Elegant Beauties.
The Tennessee is for my niece that graduated yesterday, the rest are inventory pens for a show the first weekend of June.
I left the patina on the buffalo nickel on purpose, it just didn't seem right to polish it up. The "jaartwood" pens I call "Steampunk Spacejunk" and may make some available if there is any interest in them.
C&C please!

Very nice, is that carbon fiber behind the coins? Did u have to trim the coins so they were thin enough not to poke through ?

Thanks Super Dave,

Yep, real carbon fiber cloth around the tube.
I've got a tutorial about casting carbon fiber in the library if you want to give it a shot.
The coins end up about .5mm thin, pretty thin.

How do you take the coin down to that size. Nice pens

Donovan

I had to go back a ways to find it but I posted my method of thin coins here.
I have changed it a little in that now I keep a spray bottle of water handy to keep the coin cool. Makes it a lot easier to clean the coin before bending around the tube. Usually go to .4mm or less.
