A special request from a customer gave me the nudge I needed to make a pen that I have long wanted to make! There are few things more beautiful than the Lone Star flag, so here she is on an elegant Sierra.

The woods are blue stabilized box elder, holly and blood wood. The Lone Star is hand inlayed mother of pearl. The finish is CA (of course).

Very nice work, John!! The holly really makes the bloodwood pop in comparison, and it looks like you did an excellent job of keeping the bloodwood dust from contaminating the holly- sweet work!!
