well, i made a pen for the doctor that my wife works for. it's gold Ti in a sierra click. i shortened the tube to eliminate the use of that darned 'extension'.
the blank is Bocote i got from 'the wood gallery' here in springfield

Great looking pen and will be a great gift. Question for you, when you say you shortened the kit, by how much did you shorten it>>> I suppose you just cut the tube and blank accordingly??? Thanks for the reply.

john, what i did was measure the 'extension' piece that slides on top of the standard 'parker' refill, then cut that much off the tube and then went with the standard instructions.....and then milled the blank to the shortened tube.....

jason, just the body.....the 'nib' goes inside the refill. you only want to shorten the length of the body of that extension....

you won't be able to use the rollerball refill, but you can still use the parker refills....both ink AND gels....
