....a friend who visited Africa. He bought a clock when he was there made from African Iron Wood. It broke ( weird mechanism) in shipment home and he gave me a nice sized chunk of wood. Easy to see why it is named Iron Wood! Somewhat oily so no CA on this one! Be well............Jan
