Pen rest and Pen for my mate the one I received the oilless Compressor from.

He was a king in the Installation of Dentist Equipment a genius in Electronics Electrical, Mechanical and maintenance. His present work is Computer dependant Auditing on a high Tech level hence the SKF Handpiece and the wiper arm off a Hard Disk.

The Burl Slice is Brown Mallee and the blank Australian Hairy Oak (the bark is about 1 inch thick matted hairlike)

Kind regards Peter.

Could have used dental floss as a hanger so he could hang it from the wall. Just kidding, awesome concept and execution!

it Looks great but I'm confused. YOu have a Dental tool for the handle of the pen and the Read/Write head of a Hard drive as decoration on the stand. How do the two items relate to each other?

Thanks for your replies love humour as well.

Stan srf1114 a quick re read will answer your own question.

His occupations have included many years serviceing Dental Handpieces (the pen was one of them worn out inside) his present occupation is Auditing huge Technical Projects so simply the computer is indispensable to him at this time.

I might add a while back he built his own aircraft, tested flew it, now building a twin engined aircraft in the same workshop at home, I decided not to incorporate many of his skills or certainly more than I have to keep the impact in simplicity.

In case you are wondering that is his birth year on the Australian Penny that is the last of the Pennies cause we went Decimal after that. My birth year penny is 1934.

A direct result of our friendship so far has resulted in my recent posting of the Dental Oilless Compressor from Germany and he tells me tomorrow night when I give him his Pen and Pen rest he has a hand press worth 600 dollars for me as a present for me.

Never ever underestimate THE POWER OF A PEN.

Kind regards Peter.
