GF's first clear cast - lizard skin

Not snake, but some kind of lizard we picked up at an art fair last week. This was her first tube-in clear cast, and it came out pretty nice. I thought the chrome/gun metal was a nice kit for it.

I don't know much about casting and even less about lizard skin. Is the lighter section the color of the skin or did the cast cloud in that section? I like the pen. Lizard looks a lot different than snake.

No, it naturally fades that way. The acrylic is clear as glass. Must have been an interesting looking lizard in it's lifetime.
