getting ready for Valentine's Day sale

5 slimlines for the Valentines Day sale at the Peoria Art Guild. All are aromatic cedar except the bottom one that is dyed maple. Tried some different center bands, and the big departure is the top pen. Tried a laser burn from top to bottom. It doesn't show too well, but it's a ladies face in profile with long flowing hair. There are stars in her hair as well. I tried a light burn, but wasn't too happy. I hit it again and that time went to the brass tube in many places. Hit the entire blank with thin CA when it came out. I have mixed feelings yet. I'll see what the Guild says about it. I added a closeup to help all of you see it. What do you think? Maybe it's the art work that should be sharper? Well, first attempt. That's my excuse![:I]

What do you know...instant antique on the laser pen. Hold it ten years and they'll fall all over each other for it!

I don't mind the burn through. I think it may even add to the pen depending on the wood. When the contrast is good, it might be a nice accent.
