Well next Saturday I will be demo'ing how to turn a wood pen for a girl scout troop near Cincinnati. A few guys on here helped me greatly by donating pens to hand out at the end. My best friend Larry on here, his parent's bought some safety glasses for the troop to wear. My plan is to turn a single bodied pen and give it to the troop leader after the demo. Here is a practice pen I did today. This is I think 100 year old American Chestnut from a barn in TN that was tore down that I got from OLDMAN5050 . I tell you it seems so nice sometimes to go back to wood. Makes me appreciate it more somehow. Probably due to the history of it. This is a ca finish on a gold slim. Thanks for taking a look! I will get photos of the demo on Saturday and post them too.
