Thats a very beautiful pen, did you experience any cracking on it during the turning [?]or did you let it just sit and move around before turning?

i just let it around after i drilled it 5mm a day, thanks for the coments too.

mark, there is no gap at all, thanks for the kind comments too i have a buyer for it £200.00 but i said i will keep it for a few weeks first in case it cracks,and he said no problems, i have to ring him then.[:0]

no steven, you know that mark is a tight sod. it was a lot of practice. but thanks for the comments, i appreciate it a lot.

well, you inspired me...I have a few pieces of snake that I have been afraid to try...started drilling yesterday! I hope it comes out somewhere near as nice as yours:D
