Two firsts for me,
First time I have turned this kit. And first time for a CA/BLO finish. I have always used straight CA to this point.
With Buckeye burl. Comments (good or bad)are appreciated.

Jerry, the finish looks great. I've been trying the CA/BLO but have not had the success that you seem to have. Are you varying the lathe speed or do you apply at a constant low RPM? The pen looks very good and is certainly of 'show off' calibre.

Peter, I apply the finish at either 500 or 800 RPM, I don't want the stuff (CA) slinging off the blanks. []

Jerry excellent job. I haven't turned a buckeye burl for awhile so I guess its time.
