Gentlemen's Fountain Pen

Made this over the weekend. Gentlemen's Pen fountain kit from Craft Supply, as you'll recognize. I like the nib, but I don't think the 10k finish goes that great with the Macassar Ebony.

From what I can tell it looks good, you might try a different background for your pictures and cropping the picture to fill it with the pen. But there are others here that do a much better job with their photography than I do and can give you better pointers. Good job on the fountain pen.

looks good. gold goes with ALMOST anything, especially in the "brown" spectrum. brings out highlights, as it shows on yours. Nice job. you need to bring the cap into the picture.

I think the pen look great! I spent a lot of time on a fountain pen and I decided I don't like to turn them. Yours is very nice.

Actually, I left my D-50 at home and just shot that with a consumer Nikon on my desktop, so yeah, I'm happier with the pen than the photo.

I think the kit color goes with the pen blank better than with the desk. I believe the different woodtone in the background throws off the perspective of how the kit/pen go together. But from what I can tell, it looks good.

Agree with Jerry and the others, your photography could compliment the pen better. I think the gold is fine with that choice of wood and from what I can see, your work is equally fine.

Great work and I like the gold with that wood, but you can just send it to me if you really don't like it. Beautiful pen!
