Thanks guys! I'd like to do another one using the Curly Maple and do something to pop the grain a little. Any suggestion?

Hi R.T.,

Beautiful pen! You could try a light coating of Boiled Linseed Oil - it darkens it a bit, but seems to pop the grain nicely. Then finish however you want.

Thanks for the tips and I'll give them a try. It's a pretty wood just the way it is, but I think it would really stand out with just a little help.
