This blank has been a handful! First, I split the wood while drilling...lots of CA and it was okay. Turned down okay (couldn't even see the split after turning and 7 coats of CA and then MM to 12000. Let it dry over night. Made sure there was no glue inside the tube. Assembled the Gatsby...Another minor split. Took it off, more CA, MM again. Assembled again (okay this time) so thank goodness there is a pen clip to hid the second split (not too bad anyway).

Worth it though...beautiful wood!

Every cigar I've made in snakewood has cracked, Every sierra has not. Go figure. Drill slow and sharp, turn slow and sharp. Yours looks great Robert.
