This is a Gatsby Grande pen in gunmetal, from PSI. The blank is another of my Thin Blue Line segmented blanks. I like the slightly larger diameter of the Gatsby Grande pens. This is for my son.

Yes, the blank is a solid black acrylic acetate. The blue is pick guard I got from Ebay.

I've always liked the color combo of the TBL pens. Nice job! :good:

I also notice a very pretty rinehart sitting behind your keyboard. :)

I like how you used a drill press vise to press the blank flat while using a screw clamp to squeeze the segments together. Now if maybe I can find mine then I can finally put it to good use.

The first ones I made, I used a piece of aluminum angle and lots of clamps. The vice and one clamp worked much better. I also used thick CA on the first couple, but found that epoxy worked better.

Terrific work, and nice choice of blank materials. A very thin line of aluminum or a white wood would highlight and contrast out the blue so that you might get a stronger color statement and value for the effort to add the insert. Just thinkin'
