I have to admit, I was a little bit nervous turning this one. Ive never turned any kind of bone or antler before, so I took some extra time and added alot of thin CA. Thanks for looking.

NICE JOB, Matt!!

I also turned one of those blanks in the last couple weeks. Like you, I was trepidacious.
But I was surprised at how easily it turned--didn't feel the edges of any of the bones, just turned it like any other pen blank (well, with occasional CA "reinforcements).

Smell was a SURPRISE---Just like ANTLER!!! I expected much worse!!

Nice BLANKS, NICE turning!!!

Nice turn Matt. Great finish too!!

For some rason there is a myth floating around that gator is too difficult to turn. Personally, I think antler is much more challenging.
