Fun-size Green burl

So I got a shipment of "fun-size" (fancy slimline) kits in today, and wanted to turn make something from one of the kits right away...

Looked through the blanks pile and found a long-hidden piece of Australian Burl, decided green would look good with satin black hardware, and a few dye-CA-sand coats later, this is what I've got:

I seem to be having trouble with the CA finishes at the ends of the finished blanks - is there a secret to cleanly removing the bushings, or am I just using too much superglue?

apply johnson's paste wax to bushings, before finishing. just wipe the excess off so you don't drag the color into yer pen.

Delrin bushings. Several folks (including myself) sell them. They really help with this problem.
