Fun with Maple burl

All of these came from the same tree! I'm not very good with the camera. The white one has a lot of figure, but it doesn't show very well.

I would like to do some of these blanks on nicer kits, but I can't afford it right now.

That wood will not look any better on a `nicer` kit . The only way to make it nicer is to show more of it in an unbroken row , as on a longwood click pen .

Thing is - I don't sell pens. Mostly give them as gifts to friends and sell them at charity auctions. They are really popular at charity auctions and it always suprises me how well they do.
