I made these today with different wood types that I have reclaimed near my home. The top one is spalted crabapple, second is spalted maple, third is poplar and the bottom is spalted hackberry. Comments are welcome.

As usualy, beautiful job! Your spalted Hackberry is always stunning and you put a beautiful finish on all the pens.

I like them all... I'm a sucker for spalt. Great finish,too! The poplar almost looks like ebony. Thanks for posting these.

Thanks everyone. I have a good assortment of acrylic blanks but seem to pick up a wood one when I turn a new pen. I especially prefer the blanks I have made myself from reclaimed wood. Need to turn more of the burls and acrylics that I have purchased from other IAP members!
