I had a request to make four Legionaire blanks for a Wedding. They are gifts for the Groomsmen.

I think they turned out well and the Bride is happy with them so that is really all that matters.

Did you find that you needed to paint the tubes? I just got one of these blanks and it's next on my list of projects. After looking at it closely it's more transparent than it looks in the pictures. It's a great look, though!

Did you find that you needed to paint the tubes? I just got one of these blanks and it's next on my list of projects. After looking at it closely it's more transparent than it looks in the pictures.

I recently made one on the same kit. It's the only time I've used this blank and had the same concern about transparency. My thinking was "when in doubt, paint." Went with black enamel and it turned out well.
