Very neat. And I like the fact that you didn't need a shop full of high precision gear, just hand tools, time and talent. (and you've got the last one all right).

You 'turned' these round without a lathe?(Reading your webpage...or maybe misreading) Then held the blanks and sanded the 'hex' shape into them?


Trying to figure the step by step you did is all.....


I'm really liking the finish you have here and the way you did it(again, reading from the webpage)!! Very nicely done on all!!!!

Thanks everyone and a Merry X-Mass . Just a little explanation.

I had turned those wooden tubes using a lathe machine while I was on the ship and did some experimental stabilization on those. Since then these were lying with me and without a lathe at home , could not use them to make pens.

Then came the new idea of making Hex-section pen body by sanding the tubes on a flat table.
Hope this makes things clear!
