I just finished up this pen as a birthday present for my brother. It's made from alternate jade resin, which is something I have long coveted, but could never find. I finally bit the bullet, and ordered it along with some other blanks from the alternate series, from England. Shorty after, I discovered that Pipemaker's emporium sold 18" rods of alternate jade, so I bought some more! I had high hopes for this material, and I have to say I am quite happy with it!
It has great color and "grain", as well as being nicely translucent so you can see the ink level inside the pen.
The pen has bronze accents and a handmade clip, and features one of my differential piston units as the filling mechanism. It is finished off with a nice luxurious 14K gold #6 nib.
