The story is almost as fun as the turning. I decided to ready up on some of the battles.....so I guess I'm all history lessoned up?

How about a Fort Sumter 1861? On a Ballpoint Sierra kit? Okay...

Very nice work and theme.

I have had trouble getting scale right to fit the barrel.
I have been looking for a graphic to put on a Civl War pen of the
Monitor and Virginia, but can't seem to find a graphic that
will scale to a pen barrel.

Did you use a sealer on the graphic before casting?
Cast in PR or Aluminite?

Thanks for sharing.

Now that is certainly different. I really like it a lot. Can you tell us what all was involved in producing this blank?

Sand on tube with 220grit, paint with rattlecan stuff, put stamp on tube, seal with ModPodge - two coats, casting in PTown molds, cook in totaster oven, turn to size, wet sand through MM12k, PlastixPolish, assemble. Whew, I'm poop'd now!

Scott, I just ordered 3 blanks from you. They're great.

Thank you sir!

Now that is cool! If you make any more of those I would buy some. I live down the road from Fort Sumter.

Bet these would be a great seller to the tourists and locals in the area then, PM sent.

These stamps came from the PostOffice this size, just got lucky they fit the length of the tube this way. I do know the USPS will come out with another two stamp set in April(I think), you might check to see what the 'theme' for those with be?

ModPodge for the sealer times two coats...
Cast in PR....Ptown molds.

Thanks everyone for the comments and your viewing of these...they are fun to make!
