The last of the Formosan was used as you can tell by the bid ole honkin' booger of an ebony fill on the black set. The Texas white tail no-band came together nicely.

I like the way you still have some of nature's texture left on the barrel. It's hard to find a straight piece of antler proportionate to barrel size. Most of the time mine get cut down to smooth. Texture is better!

Because I use the lathe to drill, I can use most all the antler right down to 3/8 diameter and am able to catch some "bark".
