Here are a couple of pens made from cutoffs of the neighbor's Brazilian Cherry hardwood floor. Finally got around to it this weekend.

By the way the pens are FOR the neighbors. (Wish I had burned the lines in instead of just using the skew.)

Those are very nice! Question - How did you do the finish on them?

Did a really light coat of thin CA to fill the grain. Resanded and sealed with Behlen's woodturner's finish then two coats of Mylabnd's High Build Friction Polish.

Delivered the pens after work tonight and they DID love them! Especially nice as he is really a woodworker..making and refinishing cabinets and furniture.

Not that some of you are real woodworkers as well. I just don't consider myself one as I don't do repair or refinishing if there is ANYWHERE to run to. That's too much like work and the wood's too heavy. I'm happy in my little shop with my little woods!!
