To add to others- did the crosscut turn any different than cutting the blank with the grain? It looks like the blank turned smooth and took a great looking finish. Have some purple heart that I might cross cut for something different. Thanks for sharing the photo.

This turned very easily. It was stabilize, so that may have made a difference.
