I was over at Kallenshaan Woods the other day and Ken gave me some left overs from some of his laser kits to play with. I got some graphics tape from the auto parts store that is called Chrome Carbon Fiber, it is used to dress up cars and has a sticky backing. I wrapped my pen tube with the tape then inserted it in to the flames then cast them in clear alumilite. I was not able to use my pressure pot and as a result I got some small bubbles around the edge of the flames. But all in all I am pleased at the out come and I learned a thing or two. I sanded up to 1500 then did a CA/BLO finish that is MM to 12000 then plastic polished.
Any comments welcome, and Thanks for Looking.
