Flame CA Finish

For those that saw my quick video on the flame finish here's the pen. I used a Black Ti Zen. I believe the wood is sycamore but I could be wrong. I double dyed and stabilized it with green and orange dyes. The orange kinda took over though.

I explain it all in the video, but a quick paraphrase is that I use the flame finish bc I wanted a satin finish on my wood pens. As you can see in the pics you don't see the glare on the wood, only on the hardware. This finish helps absorb light instead of reflecting it. Allowing the wood to really show it's true beauty.

I'll try it. What distance do you have between torch and a piece, or, more important, between "shiny"/light emmitting part of the flame and a piece?

There's about a 6-7" gap from the tip of the lighter to the blank. The flame is that long and is just barely off the blank.
