Fishing Pole Pen

This is my 3rd pen I did like this (Fishing Pole style Pen) working on a bamboo pole.
This ones is rose wood with cork and thread.
My first pen i did i used fishing line finish/Epoxy they use for the threads for fishing poles and it didn't look good (Can't see detail of threads) so i don't put finish on thread any more, like to see the detail of the threads..

The cork is natural, sand down to 800 grit

Doug you might try threadmaster light finish it is considerably clearer and remains so far longer then other thread finishes

That is a very interesting idea, thank you for sharing with all of us! Did you actually turn the cork? and did you have to stabilize it first? It seems like it would come apart.
