I recently cast some blanks to mimic a fishing boat. Like the ranger boats with metal flake. I had a few trial and error runs on the blank, but I think I found a winner.

Excellent pen! OK, now for the big question- how did you do it so others, like me, and copy the technique? Thanks for sharing the photos.

Well, the color is an automotive color and I added some very fine metal flake to it. The next experiment will involve a few different sized metal flakes. The main issue is the transparency. I reverse painted the blank green. I also painted the tube and tinted the epoxy green. Without doing that you could see the epoxy when the pen was final size.
I go to the seminary once a week. There is a shop in there called Edgar's. They carry fountain pens, ties, cuff links, suits, and shave stuff for men. They also carry 4 or 5 of my kitless pens. Very nice place
