This is my first FoM & BOW pen and I must say I am truely impressed with this one. The wood was great to work with, it was easy to turn, sanded effortlessly, and the finish worked like a charm.

Thanks for looking

Sorry, i didn't include some details. The I got the Pacifica "Fishers of Men" Pen Kit from www.woodpenpro.com. The wood I ordered form www.pennstateind.com.

My finishing tecnique was as follows. Sanded to 600 grit, sanding with the grain after each grit. Brunished with brown paper bag. Then applied CA/BLO 3 coats. I started with CA, then BLO. I used EEE paste to smooth out the CA, this step saves me everytime. Then I use Perfect Pen Polish satin 2 layers, and PPP gloss 2 layers. Buffing with paper towels.

Thats about it for the details. Any other questions let me know.

Beautiful pen. Got to ask, if you start with CA, doesn't that seal the wood? If so, what good does BLO do it it can't penetrate into the wood? I have never used BLO with CA so I am ignorant.
