Well, got back into turning a few months ago but only have been turning acylic. Mainly just razors for Christmas. Got those done so I thought I would give the wood a shot again. Also have to say that I just got one of those fancy atomizers to use with CA accelerator and that thing works great. I'm no expert with the ca finish but it seemed to help a bunch.
Well, here it is.

There's just something about amboyna that brings a smile to my face. It's one of the first woods I ever turned and I really wish they made an air freshener out of the smell. This is a stunning pen!

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! It's great to be back behind the lathe. I was nervous about starting back with, what I consider, such a high end pen but I was going though some of my old pen kits and this one jumped out. I think it came out nice.
Thanks again!

Three years without wood....I mean turning wood:eek:

Going to have to re-think turning, maybe I need to wait three years...cause my finishes generally do not look like this! Outstanding turn you have made with this one!
