These are the first two pens I just finished since my surgery on May 10th.
The Gold Atrax is in Elm Burl from Ireland I got recently from an IAP member.
The Black Baron is in Juniper Root Burl I got locally.

CA finish on both.

I had anterior repositioning of my ulnar nerve and carpal tunnel surgery.

Sorry Mike..... I was so happy to get the splint and dressing off after 5 days and had to take a picture . I am surprisingly in no pain and have very good flexibility. I took it easy turning the pens to see if I was able to do simple turning.

I do like the Elm Burl a lot. It looked punky but was solid and turned very nice with no stabilizing.

I looked at the pictures first and on the first one I thought, "ooh, I need to find one of those." Then I realized I think I have one of the same from the same person in my bench!

Some AMAZING figure on the pens . . . and on the arm! Hope you are healed soon. Like I always say, "No pain . . . no . . . pain!" Russ
