Somebody had some woodworking experience, scale model building experience or high end architectural abilities to do that the first time around. Superb hand eye coordination with an eye for detail is evident in this first time turning and finishing - and also evident - patience! Beautiful!

OH NOW I SEE: http://www.miville-deschenes.com/amd_anglais/

Lots of previous experience, just a different track! Still beautiful!

First time MY well you know what it is.

Gesh might as well throw away the lathe now.

And I should take up knitting.

Great job and all Cigars love them Cigars.

I know you love them Cigar pens too so beautiful job[^]

hint try a Copper Acrylic with the satin Copper Cigar I had to take 4 pictures of it on the lathe as the color came out with sanding the acrylic with MM.

You are going to have a very difficult time convincing anyone here that those are "First" pens [:)]

That is some excellent craftsmanship. You are a natural!

Excellent work all around on these. Certainly doesn't look like the usual "first" pens, certainly nothing like mine looked.[:0]

I couldn't believe these were anyones 'firsts' either, then I looked on your web site.
Man, you have talent!!! It almost seems that pen making could be something you do in your break time!!! Cool work.

Tanks everybody for your good comments !
I receive a real succes with my christmas gifts pens !

For those which doubt that they is the first, here an image to
reassure you... In fact the that the first finished... But I had several blanks
exploded or broke while turning or by drilling them...
I learned a lot with these first pens... And the skew are difficult to
learn, but now, It's not too bad !

Also, tanks for the comment about my knives. I already make some damascus steel
but I use mosly stainless steel because it's what my custommers mostly wants.
