First Try at Cholla and Resin

Here's my first try at introducing some blue recipe resin to a piece of cholla cactus I received from Shadetree a few months back. I finally got some time to play in the sweltering heat. Lucky me :biggrin: Pictures were hurried outside yesterday evening in natural light.
Comments/criticisms/critque welcomed!

Sorry about the delay in responding. I don't know why but sometimes work gets in the way! :biggrin:
I sanded with abranet through 600. About 2 coats of thin CA, then several (lost count) of medium CA, with a few buffings in between. Then took it to the buffer. Ta da!
