I tried my first casting of an alligator jaw bone and have to say I am a little disappointed. I did a white and orange cast and thought the jaw bone would have an ivory color. It turned out to be very white so the jaw bone is not readily apparent in the cast. You can see some of the teeth sockets near the clip.

Yeah, if someone didn't know it was alligator, they may just think it is as acrylic mix. I do have to say the overall appearance of the pour makes for a mighty fine looking blank/pen!
Keep casting!

Great pen, Cody!

Recognizing that alligators have been around for about 200 million years and still have no similar forums revealing successful turning of a homo sapiens jaw bone pen, they've proven to be capable chompers; but you have clearly got the jump on them with this pen after a scant 200,000 years of homo sapienhood.

Keep up the great work - and stay ahead of the big curve. - Bob
