here is my first try at turning somthing other than wood. I only sanded with m.m. There is no finish or polish on it. What do you think i need to change?

Great looking pen. If you like acrylics, a Novus, Scratch X or Flitz product would remove any fine scratches. I don't see any on your pen. It looks good from here. Fantastic job.

Nice job. I wouldnt change a thing! Like Chris said, if you see any fine scratches in the pen when finished, you might want to add a polish that you add while on the lathe with a soft cloth. It really makes them shine.

I like it Mark. I turn my acrylics like you but use the maguires plast-x and then a little ren wax.

Pen looks really nice.
