I have been wanting to do a dip pen for some time. Decided to try something new for New Year's day shop time.

First two dip pens ever.

Azurite Tru-stone grip with Curly Maple stylus, Gold Nib.

Red Jasper Tru-stone grip and Zirocote stylus, Steel Nib.

Are these nibs those super-flex type for doing copperplate/calligraphy script with? How do they write?

Like the idea of mating the two materials together on these, I would think it would help them balance a little bietter getting more weight towards the 'business end' of the dipper!
