Hello everyone, I first would like to thank everyone on this site for all of the good information. I have only been turning pens since December but I have learned a lot from this group. I have not had any pictures to post so I thought I would take some of the 2 pens I finished today. One is a real tip 30-06 and the other is my first try at an actual fountain pen. The 30-06 is made from eucalyptus from a neighbors yard and the fountain pen is made from Arizona Mesquite. Any advice would be appreciated.

Kevin,

Looks pretty good for 3 months worth of practice. I was still on slims and cigars at that time. The only think I would point out is on the fountain it seems that the body of the barrels are a touch overturned. I'm not sure if you were going for this look, but just seems kinda funny. I'm kinda surprised that you didn't expose the brass tubes. Hey, but just my 2 cents. Keep it up and don't forget about the library on this site. It helped me tremendously!! Happy turning.
