First time casting

This is my first attempt at casting. Very simple. My daughter painted the tube and we sprayed it with clear coat before casting. We have a few more planned. Once she saw how this one came out (and learned what I would pay her as a commision:bananen_smilies051 she was all in. She wants to try a dragon.

Thanks to those who answered my questions in the forums and to those who contributed to the library articles for casting. You made it much less daunting.

Certainly a ONE OF A KIND. Great job! Your daughter made a very nice painted image. I can see many more of her paintings being cast and at shows they would be a hit. Certainly great gifts for family members as well.

very well done! You should have her paint the background a solid color though so you dont see the brass tube, it takes away from the artwork that she worked so hard to paint on there!

I agree. It was actually her concious choice to keep it brass for this one. You can't argue with an artist.
