Well with help from Allan on how to approach this I finally conquered my fear today and made a black acrylic cb for this chrome slim line pen. It is an inlace patriotic blank from WT. I used bl nickle tubes to help give it a pearl color. I know the cb isn't perfect, but I am pretty happy that I was able to accomplish this. I used my dremel with grinding wheel to help even out the ends of the cb. Let me know what you all think. Thanks again Allan for helping me out with tips.

Looks good from here! Sometimes the hardest part is overcoming your fears and just going for it! I look forward to seeing more of your attempts, this one looks like the real CB that came with the kit

Great job! The dark tubes gives that blank an entirely different appearance. Wouldn't have recognized it had you not pointed it out. Allen has sort of become the center band guru as of late. Makes one wonder what he does with all those unused kit CB's.
