First segmented pen

This is my first attempt at segmenting a blank. It is a Ti gold serria made of black walnut and cherry. Finish is BLO/CA. It didn't come out bad but I think I can do better.

Jeff, I replaced the picture. I was wearing my computer (reading glasses) glasses while taking the first picture with manual focus. It was slightly out of focus but not bad. I mistakenly thought the first photo was good enough since you could see the pen ok. I put my progressive len glasses on and retook the picture and this is what you see in the original post. Both pictures were taken with flash and handholding the camera. Here is the "bad" picture.

I think you did a fine job. Personally. I would have put thae dark wood blank on a chrome, rhodium, or other light shiny metal.
